Terms of Service
Last updated: April 9, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SquareDash website (squaredash.com) and roof replacement services. By using our site or services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use our services.
1. Service Description
SquareDash provides satellite-measured roof replacement pricing and installation services for residential properties in the United States. Our service uses satellite imagery and AI to measure your roof's area, pitch, ridges, valleys, and complexity, then applies standardized pricing to generate an estimate.
All roof replacements are performed by licensed, background-checked crews using Owens Corning materials. SquareDash is an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor.
2. Pricing and Estimates
Satellite-based estimates. The price displayed on our website is generated from satellite measurements of your roof. While our satellite AI is highly accurate, these measurements are estimates. Roof dimensions, pitch, and complexity derived from satellite imagery may differ from physical on-site measurements.
Final pricing. In most cases, the online estimate is the price you pay. However, the final price may vary in the following circumstances:
- Structural damage discovered during tear-off that was not visible from satellite imagery (such as rotted decking).
- Code-required upgrades mandated by your local building authority.
- Significant discrepancies between satellite-measured and on-site-measured roof dimensions (greater than 5%).
- Customer-requested changes to scope, materials, or specifications after the estimate is accepted.
If additional costs arise, we will notify you and obtain your written approval before proceeding. Our change order rate is under 5%.
3. Materials
All SquareDash roof replacements use Owens Corning roofing materials unless otherwise specified in your project agreement. Owens Corning is a Fortune 500 company and one of the largest roofing material manufacturers in the world. Specific product availability may vary by region.
4. Warranty
Workmanship warranty
SquareDash provides a 25-year workmanship warranty covering defects in installation, including leaks caused by improper flashing, underlayment, or shingle application. This warranty is non-transferable and begins on the date of project completion.
Manufacturer warranty
Your roof is also covered by the applicable Owens Corning manufacturer warranty, which covers material defects. The duration and terms of the manufacturer warranty depend on the product installed and are governed by Owens Corning's warranty documentation, which will be provided to you at project completion.
Warranty exclusions
Warranties do not cover damage caused by:
- Acts of nature (hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, or floods).
- Unauthorized modifications, repairs, or additions to the roof.
- Normal wear from foot traffic or antenna/satellite dish installations.
- Failure to maintain gutters, ventilation, or other adjacent systems.
5. Scope of Work
Unless otherwise stated in your project agreement, every SquareDash roof replacement includes:
- Complete tear-off and disposal of existing roofing materials.
- Inspection of roof decking (replacement of damaged decking is quoted separately if needed).
- Installation of underlayment, drip edge, flashing, ridge vent, and Owens Corning shingles.
- Permits (where required by local code).
- Job site cleanup and haul-away of debris.
- Final inspection.
6. Your Responsibilities
By using our services, you represent that:
- You are the property owner or have authorization from the property owner to request roofing work.
- The address you provide is accurate and corresponds to the property where work will be performed.
- You will provide reasonable access to the property for crews and materials on the scheduled date.
7. Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your project at any time before work begins for a full refund. Once tear-off has started, cancellation terms will be outlined in your project agreement, and a partial refund may apply based on work completed.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SquareDash's total liability for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. SquareDash shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, lost profits, or property damage beyond the roof itself.
Satellite-measured estimates are provided "as is" and are not a guarantee of final cost. SquareDash does not warrant that satellite imagery or AI measurements will be error-free.
9. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or our services shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, either party may pursue binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Class action claims are waived to the extent permitted by law.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas.
11. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site or services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
