Onboarding: The Key to a Strong Start with SquareDash

Matt Fruge
Founder and CEO

SquareDash is a lot of things, but one thing we are definitely not is an ATM on steroids. Do we provide excellent customer service? Absolutely. But our model encourages—and even requires—close collaboration with our contractors, admins, and sales teams. And success in all of that starts with our detailed onboarding process. We get to know your unique business, you get to know us, and we jointly craft a plan for how we can best work together to help your business grow.

Alignment is essential.

During the onboarding process, we’ll work to create alignment in four, key areas:

  • Sales—What are your policies and procedures, how are your contracts structured, and do you have any sales offers that impact our mutual operations? Once we understand your approach to sales, we can tailor our services to match—and possibly suggest enhancements to your processes based on our extensive experience.
  • Local logistics—We need you to share your insights on the specific requirements of operating in your area. From inspection processes, to lien rights, to permitting, the more we know about the ins and outs of your market, the better we can serve you.
  • Supplementing—Fill us in on how your company handles supplementing. Is it in house or handled by a third party? When and how often do you supplement? And what’s your standard for calling a job complete? This information will help us tailor a process for helping you manage cash flow.
  • Production—How and when are you ordering your materials? How have you been paying for them?
  • Billing Processes and Cash Flow Management—Of course, we focus here, but it’s last on the list because we find that it’s simply a reflection of your overall business policies and practices. And if it were working great, we probably wouldn’t have the opportunity to meet :)

Transparency builds a strong foundation.

One of the things you’ll appreciate about SquareDash is that we tell it like it is. And we expect the same directness from you. One of the first things we discuss in the onboarding process is expectations—yours and ours. This is the time to ask lots of questions about roles and responsibilities, costs, and anything else that’s on your mind. Our goal is that once we are working together, there are no surprises on either side, and we’ve built a relationship that enables mutual success.
