When A Brilliant Artist Decides To Paint A City, You Get This… Whoa.

By  |

Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic, also known as Zachas in the art world, creates some fascinating paintings in the street of George Town, the state capital of Penang in Malaysia.

The Lithuanian street artist visited Penang in 2012 and has been back and forth to paint more than a dozen murals as part of the Mirrors George Town project.

You can say that he is sort of now rather permanently based in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia.

Focusing mostly on portraits and inspired by the ambience and environment around the site he paints, Zacharevich as a particularly humorous approach to painting, especially when it comes to transforming holes, pipes, and other insignificant features that are commonly found in streets, into artworks.
